When I was 14, I began my first business mowing lawns, which helped me raise money to supplement going to college with only a partial football scholarship. After an injury cut my football aspirations short, I started working delivering pizzas, waiting tables, doing lawn maintenance and construction so that I could finish my BSBA in finance at the University of Central Florida. At an early age I learned the value of hard work and that there are a lot of pretty girls in college. It was football that got me to college and pretty girls that kept me there.
After college I began my career in financial services by working for two fortune 100 companies. Five years later I decided to go out on my own and start my own company as an Independent financial advisor. The reason I chose to pursue the independent advisor route was because I wanted to offer my clientele services that we could tailor around their family needs rather than be limited by only what the services of one company can offer.
Beyond the walls of Money Concepts, Inc., my life revolves around these four areas: faith, family, community and fan. We have two children, a daughter Jacqueline and a son Ricky. We were blessed to have a daughter who loves to play volleyball and social media. Our son loves playing football, basketball and video games. Although he will never admit that he can only beat dad in the virtual world. Our community involvement is covered on our community page of our website. Since I was born in Pittsburgh I am a fan of everything black and gold which is why I think I ended up at UCF. Some people might even say that I am a fanatical Steeler and Knight fan. Fortunately for me, my family brings sanity back to my life after tough losses for my teams.
